Whether a petite frame leaves baby expanding in every inch of your abbreviated figure or the last homestretch of reproduction leaves you feeling universally puffy, you want to signal that you’re pregnant, not pudgy! Your aim: emphasize length over width.
Pregnant Body Type: Full & Fertile by cardiganempireSelect an ensemble that elongates from swollen ankle to puffy cheek. Pointed flats extend into a slenderizing boot cut or trouser cut denim. Top with a body-skimming blouse then drape a long sweater in a neutral hue. Finish the lean look with an opera length necklace and an extended strap shoulder bag.

dang. I so could have used your help as a frumpy preggo lady. Also, as a p.s. my favorite post ever was the one you did for the guys. Showing my boy your post and that he shouldn't be wearing his phone waslike a Godsend ;) Really he had just bought a snazzy clip for his phone to go on his belt, but has never worn his phone again since seeing your post. So thanks for helping me nudge my boy to be a bit more fashion forward!
ReplyDeleteI love it all except the pumps. Heels when pregnant? No thanks. When you're top heavy it becomes a safety issue. Besides, one of the first principles of design is that form follows function...
ReplyDeleteI love your blog--you do great work! Congratulations & best wishes for your sweet family.
Joanne,
ReplyDeleteEspecially in your last trimester I agree on the heels. Just to clarify, I don't recommend the high pumps featured with the black trousers. Only the animal print kitten heels with about a 1 inch heel. They'd be great for somewhere in the second trimester, but probably not recommended for your last few weeks.
