"In a society driven by celebutante news and myspace profiles, women of class, style and charm are hard to come by. The Audrey and Katharines of the world continue to lose their luster as thongs, rehab and outrageous behavior burn up the daily headlines. But, despite appearances, guys still want a girl they can take home to their mom, employers still like to see a tailored suit and peers still respect classy conduct. So is it possible to maintain old fashioned virtues in a modern world without looking like a starchy Amish grandma?"

ReplyDeleteI'm really interested in this book, as the subject matter is something I have thought alot about lately.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Jordan Christy seems so sweet! I love her philosophy on life and fashion--being a Hepburn in a Hilton World is something I deal with weekly, although not nearly so eloquently.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to watch the interview - and check out this book. Reminded me a bit of "What would Jackie Do?" ..which I absolutely loved. Self-Discipline is a most admirable quality in any woman.

This is the answer to what I've been trying to say to my nieces for years. Thank you -- I've already ordered the book.
ReplyDeleteThinking about this more and more -- and I truly believe it comes down to being a lady. Manners, civility and grace will always be the true essence of style and substance.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this... Going to share this post with my girls study group that I host. AND I am going to ask my hubby for this book for Mothers Day.
ReplyDeleteLoving your blog!
