Retreat!

During my nocturne last, I dreamt about going to sleep: a wretched, unimaginative drost effect.
Story Girl never would have rested a pillow on it.  She would have eaten a mince pie, two jelly tarts, and a pint of pickles before bed to woo wilder dreams for her dream book.
I want wild dreams too, worthy of lined notebooks with mottled green covers, filled with seasonal fancies, well framed memories, and uncommon talent.  
  I want to be awake, inspired, and relaxed, the way I imagine people who read out loud to each other in front of firesides must feel.
