Odessa Tankini Top + Black Stripe Classic Bottom |
The inaugural swim of summer. Smelling of delicate sweat and thickly applied sunblock. Refreshing the toe meat cooked on the sun fried concrete. Sounding of intermittently muffled slashes and echoed squealing. Tasting like a frozen grape confection. But how will you be seen?

Shining like a French circus: I adore the brightly colored print of my Lime Ricki selection. The appropriately stretchy fabric smooths out my smaller lumps and bumps without losing the more flattering direction of my curves.
And the bottoms stay below my bottom. The modest legline doesn't lengthen my shortish lower appendages, but it also isn't continuously wedging its way between their buoyant meeting point. I'll compromise half an inch of legline for several inches of booty coverage any pool day.
I do however wish I had ordered the Beverly Tankini. It's haltered underwire and ruched center would have made a better nest for my abundant Lady Eggs and slightly squishy center. The fine print on the Odessa clearly states I have outgrown its accommodations, but I am too used to order for my natural lower figure rather than my current milk induced upper figure. And these pictures clearly show I have overfilled the cup's contents. It will however be perfect for next summer when I retire my nursing responsibilities.
For the time being, I feel quite cheeky. I even noticed a few younger men checking me out.

Thanks so much for the review, Reachel! I've been looking EVERYWHERE for a modest swim bottom, and so I totally took advantage of their free shipping and bought one that'll go perfectly with a tankini I just bought.
ReplyDeletei love those striped bottoms! you loookk divine
ReplyDeleteAndrew is a lucky man!!
ReplyDeleteCute swimsuit! And you look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteWhat squishy center are you talking about? You look great.
ReplyDeletestop it! you did not just have a baby. you look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThanks, but I think you all underestimate the power of my lungs to inhale when the camera shutter snaps. I do have to say that I love my body eccentricities and all for bringing me baby boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteI have a question about this specific lime ricki suit :) Do you think that the red boy shorts would match it? I can't really tell what color it is on the computer, so I emailed Lime Ricky and they said that the red shorts would match better than the pink...I was just wondering what your opinion would be, since you own the tankini top.
ReplyDeleteActually red or pink would work. It includes both a very bright pink and a true cherry red. And I'm sure it will look adorable on you.
ReplyDeleteokay so I know this is a year ago but this suit is on sale and I am looking to get it.. i wear about a 36c (small end of c) do you think this suit top would fit? Also the gingham bottoms are the only ones left not stripe? again since you own it.what do you think? thanks for your help!
ReplyDeleteLisa dear,
ReplyDeleteI think you'd be right on the edge. You can always try sizing up to afford a little more room. I was wearing a 34D while nursing, and it was definitely too small. It fit perfectly when I was a 34B, post nursing. And I think the gingham shorts would look adorable with it. Perfectly mismatched.
Good luck!
